Title Contest(s)

International Mr. Leather™ (IML) Contestants MUST be (i) the winner of a bar, local, or regional leather contest which awarded the winner entry into the IML contest (a “preliminary contest”); OR (ii) be sponsored by a bar, business, club or organization that specializes in the levi/leather, uniform, SM, western, gear or related lifestyles. These are your Primary Sponsors, and each such business or organization may only sponsor one (1) Contestant per IML.


Contestants must present as male, and be 21 years of age or older as of the date that you register for IML in Chicago. Prospective contestants are encouraged to apply as early as possible in the desired title year. Applications close at the end of April of the desired title year.

Judging Criteria

The contest is broken into two components, Preliminary and Contest Judging. No scores from the preliminary are carried forward. The preliminary contest is made of two components: Interview Score, Pecs and Personality Score. Contest scoring is based on leather image, presentation skills, and physical appearance.
