About
Scissortail Leather Conference Oklahoma is an educational event focused on authority transfer and power exchange relationships. It is held in Tulsa, Oklahoma and includes educational classes led by national and local presenters, panel discussions, networking opportunities, and a power exchange title contest.
Opportunities
Title Contest(s)
You each must be at least twenty-one (21) years old.
You must be a pair (2) or group of three (3) in a “power exchange” relationship for at least one (1) year.
You must complete your required paperwork as outlined in the “Contestant Checklist” by the deadline listed on the form.
You must not have any outstanding warrants either nationally or internationally and you must not be currently under indictment in any court of law.
You are not permitted to be under the influence of illegal drugs or excessive amounts of alcohol during any of the contest portions. Medical Marijuana is considered legal if the contestant holds a medical card and it is legal in their state of residence. However, it is not allowed in the conference space(s). Excessive alcohol usage is subject to the discretion of the Scissortail Leather Conference Producers and/or the Contest Director.
You may not have a current title that conflicts with Midwest Power Exchange, its contest or rules. If you currently hold a title, please contact the contest director to find out if you are still eligible to run.
Judging Criteria
The Midwest Power Exchange Contest will be judged using an Olympic scoring method. We will have 7 judges and both the lowest and highest scores for each contestant pair/group in each category will be thrown out. Only the middle 5 scores will be counted.

Volunteer Opportunities
Typical Positions listed on the website:
Security/DM: These volunteers maintain safety at the event. They will monitor entrances and verify badges. They will do their best to maintain a safe event including checking equipment and first aid supplies as well as ensuring participants uphold the rules. These positions require walking and standing for the majority of a person’s shift.
Registration: Onsite, these volunteers are responsible for checking in all attendees, passing out run bags, and selling any available merch. They also help prepare the badges, run bags, and baskets before the event. These are seated positions in an outdoor tent.
Facilities: These volunteers begin before the event loading equipment and supplies into the trailer and offloading at the event space. They are responsible for setting up the event and classes throughout the weekend. Additionally, they break down the event and reset equipment offsite. These volunteers must be able to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs.
